As a former teacher, a mother and grandmother I have seen first hand the importance of a good education along with adequate nutrition in the lives of children to help them fully learn and grow. Seeing the extreme lack of both of these things in Uganda has moved me to be a part of an organization that is bringing transformation specifically in the lives of children, bringing hope in their lives now and for their future.

KARSTEN MICKELSON

Having had the opportunity to travel to Uganda, and having visited the children and the two teachers in the village of Zirobwe, I have seen the vital need for a suitable school and basic education for the children of the community. Being married, a father of five, a grandfather of ten, retired after 35 years of government service, a veteran, and a current church Elder, I am well aware of the long-term commitment required to make a school in that village a reality. I have resolved to be a servant of God, to seek God's wisdom in all matters, and to persevere through to success in building a school in the Zirobwe community.

ANNA WHITESIDE

Working as a Registered Nurse in Pediatrics for most of my adult life, and raising my own 3 children, I have developed a heart for the well-being of children. This organization provides a vehicle to help change the trajectory of children’s lives, from one of poverty and despair, to one of education and hope; thereby, transforming the lives of generations to come.

Traveling to Uganda in 2019 and seeing the great needs that come through poverty in the lives of young children has changed my life. Retired from a career in building construction I am committed to doing what I can to see the building of a safe and secure school building, giving children a chance to succeed and transform their future and their community.
